What is The Federal Reserve

The Creature From Jekyll Island (by G. Edward Griffin)

This video is fairly long but if you think the Federal Reserve System is a governmental agency or part of the government then you should watch this video or read The Creature From Jekyll Island which tells the story of the creation of The Federal Reserve System and explains how it works. When you start the book it reads like a mystery novel but is well documented now.

The author in his own words:

The “America Power Act” Straw

The final straw that will break the back that was America.

The Cap & Trade Bill, err, Climate Bill, err… American Power Act, is that final straw.

Don’t be fooled by the new name. This administration and it’s supporting organizations are masters of the “name game”.

Say you  were told that there was an impending disaster that could only be averted by giving away everything you had worked for your whole life. This disaster would not only harm you but do more harm to your children and their children.
You had been told there was nothing else you could do. You must give up your way of life. The evidence was absolute.
Now just as you were about to sacrifice so much there was news that the evidence might be flawed. Not just the nay-sayers but even those who first presented the evidence were taking a second look at the findings and admitting they had been wrong. Many of the supporters of the initial findings were starting to say they too may have rushed to judgement.

Now what would you do. Would you continue in your rush to dismantle your way of life or would you shout hallelujah, breathe a giant sigh of relief and delay your course of action. Any sane person would pause, re-evaluate, re-gather and continue to strengthen themselves while further researching the evidence and possible causes.
I mean before throwing everything away don’t you think you would at least take another look and give the researchers more time to find a conclusion that garnered consensus.

Naturally that is what any sane person would do. But not so our government when addressing global warming, err, climate change.

Given the common sense demonstrated above we should not be asking ourselves what measures to address climate change will be most effective but why the rush. Especially when these changes will do so much harm to our country.

And it is certain these changes will do harm, especially to the USA, further crippling our battered economy and job market and do little, if anything, to alleviate any perceived climate change dilemma.

Yet it’s full steam ahead… if you think at all you MUST ask why.

And while you are thinking how to phrase your questions, consider Maurice Strong the “Godfather of the international environmental movement” and the “architect of the Kyoto Protocol.” Here are a few quotes:

“What if a small group of these world leaders were to conclude that the principle risk to the earth comes from the actions of the rich countries? And if the world is to survive, those rich countries would have to sign an agreement reducing their impact on the environment? Will they do it? Will the rich countries agree to reduce their impact on the environment? Will they agree to save the earth?

“The group’s conclusions is ‘no.’ The rich countries won’t do it. They won’t change. So, in order to save the planet, the group decides: Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilization collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”

A shift is necessary toward lifestyles less geared to environmentally damaging consumption patterns.” In other words, the demise of the American way of life is necessary for the survival of the Earth.

Today Strong lives in the People’s Republic of China,[citation needed] and is President of the Council of the United Nations’s University for Peace. UPEACE is the only university in the UN system able to grant degrees at the masters and doctoral. He is an active honorary professor at Peking University and Honorary Chairman of its Environmental Foundation. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Institute for Research on Security and Sustainability for Northeast Asia.
Maurice Strong currently sits on the board of directors of CCX, The Chicago Climate Exchange, the entity responsible for the trading of carbon credits.

And when the global economy completely collapses who will be left to buy up the pieces? Let me just ask; Can you speak Mandarin?

Inertia is a powerful force in human and political affairs.

Licences to have babies incidentally is something that I got in trouble for some years ago for suggesting even in Canada that this might be necessary at some point, at least some restriction on the right to have a child.

Remember when talk of a Global Government and a New World Order was a paranoid conspiracy theory? Now it’s common to hear terms like global governence, a global framework, global consortium, global currency…

Did you ask why push government health care now when the country is going through a recession and double digit unemployment? Why now?
Just after spending 800 billion to supposedly heal the economy has done so little to actually help. Why now? Possibly the most costly entitlement program the country’s ever created.

The Marxist theory of war is quasi-economic in that it states that all modern wars are caused by competition for resources and markets between great (imperialist) powers, claiming these wars are a natural result of the free market and class system. Part of the theory is that war will only disappear once a world revolution, over-throwing free markets and class systems, has occurred.

Now think about what you’ve just witnessed in Greece where we see a Europeon Socialist system in place. The riots in the streets… those were the Communist and Socialist Unions. They were demanding what they were promised, what they were entitled to and what they had been receiving until the government ran out of money.

We may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrial civilization to collapse.
–Maurice Strong

And the most chilling of all:

What pleases me most is that sustainable development is on almost everybody’s agenda now.
–Maurice Strong

A major influence and mentor of Bill Clinton, Carroll Quigley, outlines in his book – Tragedy and Hope: A History of The World in Our Time that nuclear deterrence is no longer necessary if global financial markets are tied together. With financial dependence on one another if one nation falls it will so severely impact the others that they too will recede into depression. Hence no global war… skirmishes but not a world war. This is referred to as Mutual Assured Economic Destruction (MAED).
They just received a Trillion dollar buy out. They made no change to their policies or the way the government and their system works; so in essence, this is just a Trillion dollar band-aid.

The greeningof Spain has left them not far behind. Their green job approach to financial reform has cost them two jobs to every one created. Portugal, Italy, England are teetering with other countries sure to follow. So we have in full focus in the here and now the results of European socialist systems… as we embark down the same path.

Why is the President dissing Fox News and Talk Radio, even going to the extent to warn against too much information

“With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, — none of which I know how to work — information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation,” Obama said.

Notice the typical condescending remark “– none of which I know how to work”, although he gave the Queen of England an iPod and uses a Blackberry.

A setup to declaring too much information can become a distraction, a diversion…
A distraction and a diversion from what exactly, Mr. President?
When has information not been a tool for empowerment and emancipation.

This is not quite the way Jefferson put it:

“I know no safe depositary of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.” –Thomas Jefferson to William C. Jarvis, 1820. ME 15:278″Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. And to render even them safe, their minds must be improved to a certain degree.” –Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia Q.XIV, 1782. ME 2:207

“The most effectual means of preventing [the perversion of power into tyranny are] to illuminate, as far as practicable, the minds of the people at large, and more especially to give them knowledge of those facts which history exhibits, that possessed thereby of the experience of other ages and countries, they may be enabled to know ambition under all its shapes, and prompt to exert their natural powers to defeat its purposes.” –Thomas Jefferson: Diffusion of Knowledge Bill, 1779. FE 2:221, Papers 2:526

“The information of the people at large can alone make them the safe as they are the sole depositary of our political and religious freedom.” –Thomas Jefferson to William Duane, 1810. ME 12:417

“The diffusion of information and the arraignment of all abuses at the bar of public reason, I deem [one of] the essential principles of our government, and consequently [one of] those which ought to shape its administration.” –Thomas Jefferson: 1st Inaugural Address, 1801. ME 3:322

“Though [the people] may acquiesce, they cannot approve what they do not understand.” –Thomas Jefferson: Opinion on Apportionment Bill, 1792. ME 3:211

and your ears to words of knowledge.”
