California Rep. Pete Stark Mocks Border Security Concern

The arrogance is beyond belief.
The disdain displayed by Rep. Pete Stark at this townhall meeting illuminates and is indicative of how serious questioning is treated from this current government.

This thing is what California voters have allowed to represent them in Congress since 1973 (37 years).
The sixth most senior Representative as well as 8th most senior member of Congress,  Stark lives in Maryland, although he maintains a townhouse in Fremont, California.

If a picture is worth a thousand words then a video must be beyond words… this one is.

This is the same man that at a town hall meeting last year became engaged in an exchange with a constituent over health care and said he wouldn’t “waste urine” on the man and in 2007, said that U.S. troops were being sent to Iraq “to get their heads blown off for the president’s amusement.”

California must be so proud.

One lump or two?

Last night, watching TV, I flipped over to MSNBC, which I occasionally do just to keep an eye on the kids and for a laugh. Keith Olbermann was spouting about how Fox News would pan the crowd of 16 or so at the tea parties to make it look like more people were there than actually were. I sincerely believe these folks are totally incapable of understanding what is happening in America. I believe Keith Olbermann is totally incapable of understanding America. They have no idea or completely disregard this country’s history and what our founders stood for and envisioned. Either that are they don’t care. It doesn’t fit in their agenda.
I for one am really going to enjoy watching them “intellectualize” these tea parties.

Over 750 locations across America. Hundreds of thousands of people turned out for the Tax Day Tea Parties.

A protest against the radical social agenda of this administration and congress.
Taxes were only a part of this protest.
 — Further Government Expansion, Massive Spending, Pork, Government Intrusion, Hidden Pork, A reckless lack of due diligence as bills are rushed through without being read yet alone debated, Lack of Immigration Enforcement, Lack of Transparency, Lack of Accountability, Eroding States Rights, Weakening Defense, Bowing to Europe… bowing to anyone, Removing God in America, The Erosion of Unalienable Rights, Eroding our Right to Bear Arms, Circumventing the Constitution

To name a few… you know, those things that were important in developing what we call the United States of America.

You’re going to see and hear a lot of media arrogance as they denigrate these events and participants.

clinging to their guns and religion.

These “radical right-wing extremist”, these crazies, but I ask you to take a good look at these folks and contrast them with protesters you’ve seen coming from the left and you tell me.
For the most part these were normal everyday folks who play by the rules… the ones that usually don’t protest. That silent majority you used to hear about. That alone makes this newsworthy.
Yet only Fox chose to cover the Tax Day Tea Parties aggressively and they will pay for it. It will play right into the media’s characterization of Fox. But a true news agency seeing patriotic social unrest finding a voice as it gained momentum is obligated to report it. Hundreds of thousands of people across this country turned out for the Tax Day Tea Parties and received little serious mainstream media coverage. The main stream media will give more “serious” coverage to a handful of people dressed in pink protesting the Iraq war than six million standing up for the principles of the Founding Fathers. So yeah, this is not your typical protest were a direct result of grass roots organization via the Internet. The sheer number and message demanded serious reporting and that does not equate to sponsoring. This was not a GOP or Fox News sponsored event. There was no one sponsor. There was no George Sorros.

This was not about any party affiliation. It was about America. These people see their country slipping away and are genuinely alarmed.

Glenn Beck received equally enthusiastic cheers from thousands at the Alamo when he proclaimed that this gathering was not about party; the Democrats suck and the Republicans suck.

The major media outlets will report on this extensively now that it is done. Once they have strategized, received talking points, cut and edited, psychoanalysed and reassurred themselves how smart they are. After the 8:45 phone call.

Here’s a taste. This is just so pathetic.

You will be able to track just how successful these Tea Parties were proportionately to the level of scorn coming from the mainstream media.

“I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of society but the people themselves and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform them.”  James Madison

We have been so inadequate in our education of American History. Our founders provided the instruments that enabled the freedom for our country to grow into the most free, powerful, prosperous and innovative nation in history. The people protesting at the Tea Parties understand this. They understand the history and principles of America and for those that don’t then the remedy is to inform them.  This is why I’m writing.
Let your voices be heard!

The media will portray us as crazies but the Department of Homeland Security has already pegged us as radicals.
You may have heard this story yesterday.

The federal Homeland Security Department document entitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Environment Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” contains the following definition:

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely.  It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

When Michell asked DHS spokespeople to tell her who, specifically, the report was accusing of “rightwing extremist chatter” and which “antigovernment” groups are being monitored as “extremists.” They say they’ll get back to me.

The above quote is just a small part of the definition of the right-wing extremist. You can read more about this from Michelle Malkin

Another thought…
Don’t you think it’s amazing that ships sailing through the pirate infested waters in the Mediterranean don’t have arms on board… what?
I remember after 9/11/2001 hearing that the captains of our airlines did not have firearms in the cabin… what? I had just assumed they did… and we now know that if they would have taken that precaution they most probably would have averted those disasters.
The Founders wanted every citizen armed. Their primary reason was to insure that citizens would be in a position to overthrow tyranny, but they were also aware that if all men had firearms then the bad guys would have problems.

I’ll be posting soon about the “pirates” in Somalia for it is deja  vu… history repeating… to the shores of Tripoli.
